All Chemistry degree programs are taught in German. A profound knowledge of the German language is therefore required.

The chemistry and biology faculty offers excellent bachelor-level training. Our focus is on a broad and solid transfer of specialist knowledge and the acquisition of practical skills. In addition to bachelor's / master's degrees, it is also possible to acquire a state examination in food chemistry. The University of Wuppertal is characterized by small study groups, short distances and an exceptionally favorable supervisory relationship between lecturers and students.
In our master’s degree programs, we offer you two-year study programs with high academic quality and strong practical relevance with intensive supervision by internationally renowned scientists. The teacher study programs in chemistry and biology combine subject-specific teaching content with subject didactics and educational sciences. Our Didactics of Chemistry and Biology are characterized by dedicated school laboratories and innovative teaching concepts. With the M. Ed. We are the only German location to offer bilingual teaching an undergraduate master’s degree with a bilingual focus, in which the natural sciences are also represented.

Keep in mind: For the Hochschulstart study program in food chemistry, applicants must first register on hochschulstart.de and then apply via our application portal „StudiLöwe“. The application deadline for all courses with restricted admission normally ends on July 15th, 2022.
You can register for non-admission courses via the application portal „StudiLöwe“ by October 15, 2022. Further information on our application terms is provided on the website of the Student Registration Office (Studierendensekretariat) and the International Office.
