The following NMR spectrometers are operated centrally in our specialist group:

BRUKER AVANCE III 600

Base frequency(1H): 600.13 MHz

Equipment

Sample changer for 60 NMR tubes

Sample heads:

  • 5mm broadband inverse probe with automatic frequency tuning
  • 10mm 1H/13C probefor high temperature experiments
  • 3mm QXI quadruple resonance inverse probe(1H/31P/13C/15N)

BRUKER AVANCE 400

Base frequency(1H): 400.13 MHz

Equipment

Sample changer for 120 NMR tubes

Sample heads:

  • 5mm broadband BBFO probe with automatic frequency tuning
  • 5mm QNP probe(1H/13C/31P/19F)
  • 5mm broadband inverse probe head

The AVANCE 400 is mainly used for routine measurements on the 1H, 13C, 31P, 11Band 19Fcores. The 5mm BBFO measuring head can be automatically tuned between these cores and other cores(ATM).
19Fis measured automatically via the X-channel, so that 1H decouplingis also possible(19F{1H}and vice versa 1H{19F}).
In principle, the decoupler coil can also be tuned to 19Ffor special 19F experiments, so that 19F decouplingis also possible when measuring X nuclei or the X nucleus can be decoupled for 19F measurements(not in automatic mode).

The measurements are carried out fully automatically with the aid of a sample changer (capacity 60 or 120 tubes), the respective experiments are programmed beforehand (Bruker IconNMR). After completion of the measurement, the measurement data is automatically transferred to the file server.

The current status of the measurements can be viewed directly here.
