New professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biology

Dr. Guillaume Delaittre will take up his professorship for Organic Functional Molecules by 01.04.2020. A short profile of Prof. Delaittre and his research interest can be found here.

In the light of recent events

 

Based on the guidelines of the university regarding the corona virus the department of chemistry and biology will suspend all lectures and exams until the 19.04.2020.

 

 

 

If you want to reschedule appointments or have individual requests please contact your lecturer via email or phone. We would like to keep public access to our offices to a minimum.

Current information regarding teaching and exams

 

Postponed/canceled exams (winter semester 2019/2020)

Written exams
We will offer alternative dates for the written exams in the first week the university resumes its on-site activities (planned start: 20.4.2020). Therefore, the start of lectures will be postponed to the second week (planned start: 27.4.2020). Details regarding exams and their location will be announced soon and can be found in the corresponding Moodle courses.

Oral exams
Students should approach their lecturers (preferably via email) to arrange a new appointment using digital media (preferably before the end of the winter semester).

Hardship provision
In case of a hardship (especially last exams before graduation) the chairman of the examination board will decide in consultation with the respective QSL-personnel. Please contact your chairman in charge.

 

Digital teaching

If the start of the on-site semester has to be further postponed, we will offer digital alternatives to conventional classroom teaching. Information regarding your classes will be provided in the corresponding Wusel and Moodle accounts (by 13.04.2020).
